Everything to learn Ahead of Buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was introduced to the market on November 10th, 2009 and had one of the most well known introductions I can even keep in mind! I did not go out to the midnight unveiling, but I drove out on unveiling day and was there 3 hours prior to launch in the morning hours and there were witout a doubt 20+ individuals waiting there. Right after a half hour to fourty five minutes, I finally obtained my copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and off I drove to invest the majority of my week ranking up as quick as I could.
So before I get started, I just want to say that I’m a massive fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to help keep this review from the mind-set of another person who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty games or another person who did not appreciate the prior games in the Call of Duty series. I would not consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was resolved on buying Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was unveiled.
As the majority of you definitely are aware, I hardly ever purchase video games that dont include some form of multi-player and commonly will only purchase video games for its multi-player feature, but I did actually engage in the entire single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I must say that I did appreciate it even while playing through a second time. The story was rock solid, it absolutely was a little complex at times, but it tied in relatively perfectly with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and offered explanations to several unanswered situations.
The only real issue I truly did not like about the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been relatively uncomplicated on the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say at all times, because that is most definitely not true, there had been times where I got rather aggravated when you consider that there were just so many enemies at a given time on each and every side and it made me incredibly furious, but other than that, the single player campaign was satisfying and a refreshing new game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it really is exactly the exact same as in Call of Duty 4 and it was ideal for that game and is still definitely perfect now. As far as Im concerned, the control structure alternatives in COD4 and MW2 are the finest layouts that have ever been set together for any game. You will find a couple of other control layouts which you can choose from and more or less all of those layouts are fantastic as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get used to, but once youre used to the new control scheme, youre godly!
Now comes the portion which you all have been waiting for! My opinions about the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in more than 360 hours of online play, I believe I can give a quite high quality overview of what it is all about. For the most part, everything is much better balanced. The maps are laid out nicely, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work very good. This being said, there are constantly negatives to go along with the positives. Now, dont get me completely wrong here, Im not going to go over every little thing that is correct in this game, as it would take too long. Instead, Im going to try and go over some of the main weak spots inside the online aspect of this game, because of the fact that I imagine this would be a good deal more useful to possible buyers and/or prior owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the negative aspects. As far as Im concerned, 1 man army is the only real sketchy perk. On its own, there’s nothing wrong with it, and it can be quite practical depending on your circumstance, but put into use within the hands, it can be put to use in an particularly infuriating way that makes any individual desire to basically demolish their controller until the pieces stop flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and truthful, being honored for dying, in my opinion, is just ignorant. There should really be no need for this if the spawn feature was efficiently thought through, which, sadly, it most certainly isn’t, but if youre making use of death streaks for anything but to overcome the lousy spawn system, then you’ve no excuse, you are definitely a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch on the spawn structure being as I previously opened that can of worms. While not starting into a massive rant, essentially the spawn application works nicely in most circumstances, but on the occasion, it runs just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt help you in anyway, it creates you high grief, and it makes you wish to toss your console out the windowpane of a three story or higher building. Im very sure that that’s pretty much all I have to say about that, simply because if you have played a decent quantity of games and game varieties, you know exactly what Im articulating about.
Just one other thing that works just like that, would be the matchmaking solution. The game automatically chooses what room it is going to set you in. This means, you could be set inside a room which has 10 seconds left in the game and it is practically not possible for you to win. This definitely maddens me to no end. Theres no easier approach to tarnish my excitement to just chill and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I launch it up and join a lobby on a team that’s just getting owned. Its not fun by any means, in fact, most of the time if this occurs I will simply just shut the PS3 system off right then and there and do anything other than that.
As far as weapons go, they’re very significantly well balanced now. In the beginning there was a massive argument about the model 1887s, but thanks to every one of the whiners, they got nerfed and now are about just as effective as tossing a rock at somebody. In terms of the other parts of the weapons go, they’re all tremendously effective and if you dont react speedily, you will die while not even understanding what went down.
I believe this concludes the argument regarding the multiplayer factor of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you would like to understand any more relating to it, just spend money on it, as it is most undoubtedly worth the revenue.
